Two doors are open: Google Play production access and Paystack activation

Two approvals came through for Indigen World. Google Play has granted us production access, and our Paystack account has been activated. This is a big step toward a public launch, but we have not launched yet. Here is what each approval means, what we still have to check, and why testing matters more now.
What was approved
Google Play production access
New developer accounts on Google Play can't publish straight to the public. An app first runs in closed testing with real testers, and then Google reviews it before allowing a production release. Indigen World has now passed that review.
This means we may release the Android app to the public on Google Play. It doesn't mean we have. The app is still in testing today, and it will reach the public only after we release a production build and it clears Google's review.
Paystack activation
Paystack is how businesses and creators pay for advertising campaigns on Indigen World. With the account activated, those advert payments are real payments now, not test ones.
What this does not mean yet
We are not announcing a full public launch. Both approvals open a door. Neither one proves that the app and the payments are ready for everyone.
Two approvals are done. Five checks remain before we promote the app to the public.
Before we promote Indigen World publicly, we need to confirm that:
- the production build has been released and anyone can find and install it on Google Play;
- the final production version is stable enough for a much larger group of users;
- Paystack is properly connected to live advert payments;
- at least one real payment has been tested successfully from start to finish; and
- memberships through Google Play and advert payments through Paystack both work correctly, from choosing what to buy to seeing it active.
We'll tick these off one by one and share an update here when the list is complete.
For our testers: please keep testing
Production access doesn't mean testing is over. This is the stage where finding problems matters most, because whatever we miss now will reach many more people later.
Please keep using the app as you normally would, and tell us whenever you notice:
- crashes or freezes
- broken or blank screens
- buttons that do nothing
- flows that are confusing or hard to finish
- wrong text, translations or prices
- anything that could simply be better
What happens next
Our next steps are to prepare a stable production build, run a real advert payment from start to finish, and check memberships on real phones. We'll only announce the public launch when those checks pass.
Google Play has opened the production door, and Paystack has opened the door to real advert payments. Now our job is to make sure that whatever comes through those doors is ready.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who has tested, reported problems and helped build Indigen World. Your work is what's moving this app out of testing and into the real world. 🌍💙
If you have feedback, send it through the tester group or the contact page on indigenworld.com.
